As strange as it may seem, there are far more people on this planet who believe in past lives, also known as reincarnation, than there are who don’t. For some, reincarnation or at least the concept thereof, forms the very foundation of their religion. This is especially true in the case of Hindus and Buddhists although this also applies to many other religions as well. For others, reincarnation may simply offer the most common sense explanation for the many mysteries in life.
Keeping Track of Your Experiences
There are admittedly many ways through which we can find out more about past lives but perhaps the most effective means, is to keep a journal, writing down all your experiences, both significant and insignificant. When doing this, one should also acknowledge the importance of making notes with regards to the state of your emotions at the time of these experiences. This is essential as our emotions are a very reliable source of clues and by noting these feelings, one will be better equipped when it comes to the stage when you try to put all the pieces together.
As you go through your daily life, look for clues. For example, list your likes and dislikes, including things from your childhood, your food and fashion preferences and your favorite architecture, periods of history, cultures and climate. Think about including how you feel about the natural talents and skills you possess as well as your fears and phobias, certain characteristics of your nature, your physical appearance such as scars and birthmarks, and other aspects which play a part in your life like your animals, your occupation and those deja vu moments you experience from time to time. This are all clues to a past life.
Just as one should keep lists of all the things already mentioned, so too should you record all the details of the dreams you have. The reason for this is because past life experiences can often manifest themselves in a dream, thus providing you with even more clues. Remember, dreams can represent the present life as well as a past life. It’s been established that one’s mind is is highly receptive to suggestion, so for many it may prove to be beneficial to suggest to yourself, before going to sleep, that you wish to recall past life memories via your dreams. Whenever you awaken from a dream following suggestion, be sure to write down all the details as soon as possible before they start to fade.
PRLT – Past Life Transgression Therapy
If you’re in a position which allows you to consult with a professional therapist, then it is certainly advisable that you do so. Such professionals are trained and certified in this field and are therefor able to offer valuable guidance. Furthermore, a therapist can also help you to understand any information you receive. If for any reason you have difficulty finding a professional therapist, simply contact the International Association of Regression, Research and Therapies or the International Association of Past Life Therapists. Both of these organizations train and certify therapists and will be happy to help you.
Meditation is perhaps one of the most valuable means of acquiring knowledge regarding your past life or past lives. However, for many people it is sometimes difficult to accept and trust the information you receive, given that meditation is by all accounts, a very personal and private undertaking. Because of this, it is absolutely fundamental that one follows one’s instincts and that you place your trust in your own feelings.
It is quite normal to feel as though you are daydreaming whilst meditating and images are likely to be flowing in and out of your mind as valuable information comes through too. As before, write everything down and take time to look it over later. Your mind is very suggestible, and will pick up what you tell it to, just as you will not get anything if you start off with a negative approach.
For some people, absolute silence serves them best when meditating while others may prefer some visual stimulation of one form or another, such as staring into the flames of a fire or staring at the flickering flame of a candle. Others on the other hand may prefer soft music or listening to sounds such as the sound of the sea or even a flowing river.
Stirring up quite a bit of excitement in this field, is the recent discovery of the benefits of using binaural beats. This is still a relatively new technology which involves sound waves of different frequencies being played in each ear. Results so far suggest that the subject feels instant relaxation at a level much the same as that experienced by Zen monks during meditation.
Most importantly though, is that your meditation sessions are always done in an area of peace and quiet.
First and foremost, you need to be in a comfortable position and secondly, you need to be relaxed and receptive. Likewise, your mind needs to be free of thoughts which are undesirable in relation to your meditation. While it may take some practice, you need to be able to allow these thoughts to pass on after only having paid them a minimum amount of attention. Likewise, when questions come to your mind, address them and them let them go again. During this time you should expect nothing more than to experience a feeling of deep relaxation and rest assured, the answers you are searching for will most often come to you when you’re least expecting them.
In most cases, the information and images that come through will help you to solve some of those mysteries you have pondered, whether you believe in reincarnation or not. Of course it may not always be possible for you to prove to others just how authentic your experiences are although it is common to gather enough information at times, in order to research some facts such as names or places.
It is perhaps most extraordinary that many people find they have shared past lives with some of those who are close to them in this life. However, the circumstances or the type of relationship you shared may in fact have been very different to the one you’re currently experiencing.
Irrespective of your personal beliefs, the chances are that if you take the plunge and experience regression, you’ll find it to be both helpful and extremely interesting.
